And if you visit the site of Chi Mei’s LCD-TV special zone called Tree Valley Park, adjacent to the Southern Taiwan Science Park, you will most likely find yourself in agreement.
What you first notice when you enter Tree Valley Park is that it doesn’t fit most people’s image of an industrial park. You won’t find gray buildings with tiny windows and smokestacks pouring pollutants into the environment anywhere. Instead you see clean, wide streets, buildings exhibiting state-of-the-art "green" architecture, a beautiful lake, grass and trees. In fact, eventually, a total of 100,000 saplings will be planted on the premises, and additional plans call for an organic greenhouse and vegetable garden.
By making use of technology that prevents pollution and concepts that utilize environmentally protective designs, CMO has improved the company's efficiency while preserving natural resources.
